Another Dining For a Cause event held all day Monday at Frackelton's on Main Street brought community members together to support the Sheridan Senior Center in raising funds for the center's Holiday Spirit Campaign.

During each event, 100 percent of sales during that designated day are donated to a worthy cause.

Today the representatives for the center received a check from Frackelton's for $11, 600 in sales raised during Monday's event. Over 470 people came out to support the center for both lunch and dinner.

Development Director for the center Rindy West was there at both lunch and dinner and was floored at how many people came out to support the center. Sheridan Media caught up with her during the beginning of the dinner rush.

She said the money from the event and the spirit campaign goes to support all the center's programs which help almost 3,000 senior citizens in the county annually and she said that number is growing rapidly.

Lander Columnist and Author Bill Sniffin was at the event as well. He was selling copies of his new book "My Wyoming: 101 Special Places” and his other book “Wyoming's Seven Greatest Natural Wonders.” He donated $5 per each book sold to the cause.
