Conservation District Oks Budget Submission

Supervisors of the Sheridan County Conservation District have authorized District Manager Carrie Rogaczewski to submit the district's draft budget for the coming fiscal year to Sheridan County commissioners and the state of Wyoming.

Action came during the conservation district meeting Tuesday night. Rogaczewski said the budget is still preliminary, estimating expenses at just under $659,000 and income of over $664,000 for the year that starts on July 1.

She said the increase in the district's revenues are due to receipt of state and federal grants due to completion of some of the projects the district funds.

In other action Tuesday, district supervisors approved a contract for replacement of a septic system on Little Goose Creek as well as a sampling analysis plan for Goose Creek. Supervisors also approved a review to be submitted for the proposed Saddlecrest Subdivision in Sheridan County.

Rogaczewski received approval from supervisors to register a domain name for a website for the Acme Power Plant. In other business, Rogaczewski said that, weather permitting, the district will plant a living snow fence next week.
