The Sheridan City Council Monday night approved a cooperative agreement with Sheridan County that will allow the Wyoming Technology Business Center or WTBC to operate Sheridan’s business incubator on East Ridge Road in Sheridan. Sheridan Mayor John Heath pointed out that the incubator will be for all types of entrepreneurs.

The agreement between the city and the county stipulates that they will share the cost in payments to the University of Wyoming to operate the business incubator through 2018. The overall total of the contract with the WTBC is for $365,000.

The WTBC is is a business development program launched at the University of Wyoming in 2006 that focuses on helping early-stage, high-growth companies. The Sheridan incubator will join similar facilities in Laramie and Casper to become the third incubator managed by the WTBC statewide.
