The Sheridan City Council held a public hearing and considered the final plat for a subdivision in south Sheridan at their meeting Monday night. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the story.

Last October, the Council approved the Planned Unit Development Master Plan for the Woodland Creek Subdivision. City Planning Director Robert Briggs said the only major difference from what was approved in October is that the 51 lot subdivision had been changed to 49 lots. One of the issues of concern voiced by adjacent property owners in October had to do with traffic, and the effect the subdivision would have on an already busy traffic area. Megan Crow, the engineer for the project, said that a traffic study on the area has been conducted.

Concerns of flooding and drainage were also brought up by nearby landowners in October.

Here’s a brief exchange between Crow and Councilman Alex Lee regarding the drainage issue.

Crow said that the subdivision will be a phased project on a little over 14 acres located southwest of Woodland Park Road and Highway 87.
