A request for funding reimbursement from Sheridan on Skates for public infrastructure and other associated costs for the construction of the new indoor ice rink at the corner of Brundage Street and Sheridan Avenue was approved Monday night by the Sheridan City Council. The request that was approved was in the amount of $100,000. Sheridan on Skates Board President Charlie Whiton took a moment to address the council.

City Public Works Director Nic Bateson said the funds will be allocated using Public Benefit capital improvement funding. $50,000 will come from the current fiscal year, with the remaining $50,000 coming from the budget for fiscal year 2017.
