A video that made its way to the social media platform Facebook prior to the Special Election in Sheridan on Charter Ordinance #2202 was an item of contention. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

On November 1 of last year, Vote Yes on Ordinance 2202, a Political Action Committee, posted a video online of Sheridan City Councilors Aaron Linden and Jacob Martin encouraging residents to vote yes for the Charter Ordinance in the special election. Councilman Linden explains how the video came to be.

Linden said that the video was initially just going to be a post on Facebook.

The Special Prosecutor, Crook County Prosecuting Attorney Joseph Baron, who was assigned to review a number of civil complaints that were filed with the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office in regard to the alleged violation of Wyoming Election laws, deemed that there was nothing wrong with the video featuring the City Councilman.

Councilman Linden said that the allegations were troubling for a number of reasons.
