An agreement to receive funds under the Congestion Mitigation Air Quality Program for fiscal year 2017 was approved Tuesday by the Sheridan County Commission.

County Engineer Ken Muller said the CMAQ program allows for the County to mitigate dust on roads throughout Sheridan County.

As part of the $250,000 funding award, Sheridan County must provide a 20 percent local match, which amounts to $62,500 that will come from the Capital Facilities Tax fund.

Commissioners also approved an amendment to the County’s rules and regulations governing wastewater systems.

Muller said bringing the County’s rules and regulations into conformity with the rules and regulations of the Wyoming DEQ causes only one minor change.

Muller said copies of the amended rules are available from the Sheridan County Department of Public Works. He said they can also be viewed on the County website.
