Funds received from the State Lands and Investments Board have been set aside for the Johnson County Library for maintenance of the facility.
County Clerk Vicki Edelman brought the issue before the commissioners for a discussion and a decision at a recent meeting, after she received notification of the funding.
The commissioners voted to set up the funds in a “Library Reserve” line in the county budget for maintenance, to allow the library to request funds from the county for commission approval as needed.
The amount of the funding from the SLIB was $112,058.
