County OK's Maintenance Contract For Bomber Mt. Generator

Marilyn Connolly

Johnson County Emergency Management Coordinator Marilyn Connolly brought a contract for maintenance services on the recently-purchased backup generator at the Bomber Mountain Civic Center for the Johnson County Commissioners to review.

Connolly explained that the original maintenance agreement within the grant application had a company charging roughly $2,000 annually for the maintenance agreement. She thought that a bit expensive and had County Facilities Manager Kim Glasgow check with the company that currently provides those services to the county on two other backup generators and found that Cummins Rocky Mountain of Gillette could do the services for roughly $1,400 per year.

Connolly and the commissioners discussed the agreement further.

The commissioners approved the contract and chairman Bill Novotny signed the agreement.
