RIVERTON, Wyo. (AP) - Construction crews in Riverton have broken ground on the $41.3 million Wind River Job Corps Center. City, state and tribal leaders, among others, gathered for the groundbreaking ceremony Friday. Riverton Mayor Ron Warpness described the center as a "great, long, overdue celebration" that not only will bring positive financial impact to the community but a greater impact on young lives in Wyoming.
The center will provide academic assistance and career and technical training to as many as 300 students at a time, ages 16-24. The project is expected to be finished sometime in 2015.
