The next Dining for a Cause at Frackelton’s restaurant in downtown Sheridan will take place Monday and will benefit The Link- Partners in Pink program through the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation.

All proceeds from lunch and dinner, plus gratuities will help raise funds to upgrade to Tomosynthesis, or TOMO at the hospital, which is 3D mammography equipment. You can dine at Frackelton’s for lunch between 11 am and 2 pm, or dinner from 4 to 10 pm. Reservations are encouraged and can be made by calling the restaurant at 675-6055. Sheridan Memorial Medical Imaging Manager Chris Bilyeu talks about the benefits of Tomosynthesis.

Bilyeu said that TOMO has the potential to find breast cancers earlier, and that early detection is the key to fighting breast cancer, as it offers patients more treatment options.

Meredith Sopko with the Hospital Foundation says that along with Monday’s Dining for a Cause, there is another way people can help raise funds for the upgrade to TOMO. She says the foundation has been chosen as a finalist in the State Farm Neighborhood Assist Grant program.

Sopko said voting is underway and will run through Friday, November 4th. She said anyone with a valid email address can vote, and that people vote can everyday, up to 10 times a day. To vote, click on the link below.
