The Sheridan County School District Two Board of Trustees met for their first regularly monthly meeting of the year Monday night. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

Raising the graduation rate at Sheridan High School continues to be a priority for Sheridan County School District Two, as in November of 2014, the District’s Board of Trustees approved the position of graduation coach, and subsequently hired Curt Mayer to fill that position. Monday night before the board, Mayer provided an update on the work being done to improve the graduation rate.

Mayer said two years ago the graduation rate at Sheridan High School was 83 percent, which increased to 87 percent last year. Also from the board meeting, trustees approved the audit report for fiscal year 2015 and approved the purchase of four new buses from Elder Equipment Leasing of Casper in the amount of $444,265.
