Downtown Burglar Arraigned in District Court

An arraignment hearing was held Thursday in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan for 27-year-old Joshua Campbell of Sheridan who’s charged with two counts of burglary for allegedly breaking into Frackelton’s Restaurant and the Chocolate Tree in downtown Sheridan February 27. Campbell, who’s being represented by Public Defender Erin Wardell, pleaded “Not Guilty” to both felony charges against him.

District Court Judge William Edelman said that dates for both the pre-trial conference and trial will be set at a later date. Edelman granted a request to modify Campbell’s bond to $7,500 cash or surety bond. Prosecuting Attorney for the State, Darci Phillips did not object to the bond modification. Campbell’s bond had been set at $10,000 cash only by Sheridan County Circuit Court Judge Shelley Cundiff during his Initial Appearance March 1.

Each count of Burglary carries with it a maximum of 10 years in prison, a fine of up to $10,000, or any combination of both.
