Drug Bust Nets Almost $200k Worth of Meth in Sheridan

Earlier this week members of the Sheridan County Sheriff's Office, United Stated Drug Enforcement Agency and the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation's Central Enforcement Team and Northeast Enforcement Team arrested four individuals in Sheridan for Conspiracy to Deliver and Delivery of Methamphetamine.

25-year-old Fidel Rubio-Rios, aka: Christian Quintero, 26-year-old Miguel Angel Gutierrez-Zurita, 41-year-old Jonathan Drake Woodruff and 19-year-old Emerald Starr Lee were arrested Wednesday following search warrants executed on 2857 Coffeen Avenue Space 8, and 2857 Coffeen Avenue Space 5.

The arrests and subsequent searches of the residences resulted in the seizure of two pounds of methamphetamine and $34,000 in U.S. Currency.

The two pounds of meth seized has an estimated street value of over $181,000.

Rubio-Rios, Gutierrez-Zurita and Jonathan Woodruff were charged with Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute and to Distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing methamphetamine.

Emerald Lee was charged with Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine.

The arrests stem from a nine-month long investigation conducted by the U.S. DEA and Wyoming DCI. The media release issued by DCI states that the investigation is ongoing and additional charges and arrests are anticipated.

All of the alleged crimes are felonies and carry a hefty prison sentence as well as the possibility of numerous fines.
