DSA Receives National Main Street Accreditation

The Downtown Sheridan Association has been designated as an accredited Main Street America program for meeting performance standards that are set by the National Main Street Center. Each year, the National Main Street Center and its coordinating program partners announce the list of accredited Main Street America programs in recognition of their commitment to preservation-based economic development and community revitalization through the Main Street Approach.

DSA Executive Director Beth Holsinger said their performance is evaluated annually by the Wyoming Business Council Main Street Program, which works in partnership with the National Main Street Center to identify the local programs that meet ten performance standards.

Holsinger added that the DSA’s biggest successes in the last year include the Economic Development Campaign that was put into place with help from the City of Sheridan and the $50,000 grant from the Wyoming Business Council they received for way-finding signs.
