Farmers Markets Prepare for Change

Grab a hat, a jacket, and an umbrella for the last ‘al fresca’ Farmers’ Market this Thursday. The weather intends to take a seasonal change to cool temperatures, some likely wind, and a good chance of rain.

One last time, the Market offers the appeal of shopping for local foods at a leisurely pace, the air filled with tantalizing aromas and the ‘Santana-esque’ sound of Gary Small One Earth’s band.

The market expects to draw good crowds in conjunction with the popular ~ and last ~ Third Thursday Street Fair of 2018, 5 p.m. to sundown. Landon’s “ double-feature farmer’s market” held earlier this month had customers lined up at the gate to get in:

Donald Legerski, who launched FreshStart Landscape and Garden Services this month next to Landon’s, explains his efforts to establish the Landon’s Farmer’s Market in Sheridan:

As these popular markets are forced inside by colder weather, Legerski hopes to use his new location -- a former large animal vets campus -- and his considerable expertise to help growers, crafters, and other local groups establish a year-round market for 'buy local' patrons:

Legerski plans to speak at a two-day Wyoming Farmer’s Market Association Conference in Casper the last weekend of this month:
