Fire Damaged Wildlife Management Area Closed for Spraying

The Amsden Creek Wildlife Habitat Area in the Big Horn Mountains near Dayton that was burned recently by the Sheep Creek Fire is closed this week so managers can spray the weeds.

Bud Stewart of the local Game and Fish Department explained the reasoning during a recent interview.

And several organizations stepped up to provide some funds.

The Game and Fish spokesman said they’ll be spraying by helicopter throughout the week, if necessary, but the project could be done within days if the weather cooperates.
