The Bighorn National Forest, in collaboration with the Bureau of Land Management Buffalo Field Office, is seeking comments on the proposed Red Grade Trail System.
A special use permit is being requested by the Sheridan Community Land Trust to construct approximately 17 miles of natural surface single-track, non-motorized trails and develop approximately 1.3 acres for trailhead/parking areas. The Tongue Ranger District of the Bighorn National Forest will be hosting a public meeting at the Forest Service Office in Sheridan on Wednesday, from 4 to 6 pm.
For those that cannot attend the public meeting on Wednesday, written comments can be submitted through the end of the month. Please submit your comments to comments-bighorn@fs.fed.us with “Red Grade Trails, Attn: Sara Evans Kirol” in the subject line by May 1, 2018. For more information contact Sara Evans Kirol at (307) 674-2600.
