Two site selectors, who are real estate professionals who evaluate potential sites in relation to the needs of clients, are touring Sheridan this week at the invitation of Forward Sheridan.

Forward Sheridan CEO Jay Stender said the two are Adam Wasserman, managing partner of GLD Partners, and Lois Yates, who leads GLD Partners' economic development and aviation practice. Stender explained why the two were invited to Sheridan.

Stender eventually talked with Wasserman. He said he knows Wasserman, Wasserman's a Longmire fan, and neither he nor Yates had ever been to Wyoming. The two flew into the Sheridan County Airport Tuesday afternoon, where they visited with Stender, Sheridan County commissioners and Airport Manager John Stopka. Sheridan Media also interviewed Yates about what brought her and Wasserman to Sheridan.

From the airport, the site selectors headed to the North Main area where they talked with Neltje and toured VacuTech in the North Sheridan business park. Stender said Forward Sheridan's goal is to try to get a snapshot of Wasserman's and Yate's views of potential manufacturing, use of the airport and technology in Sheridan.

He said Wednesday's activities include a tour of either Decker Coal or L&H Industrial, a tour of Sheridan College and a meeting with ACT and Montana-Dakota Utilities to talk about power and connectivity options. Today also will include a meeting at 2 p.m with the Forward Sheridan board of directors and some elected officials at the Sheridan County Courthouse. That meeting will focus on a presentation by Wasserman and Yates on what they've seen and what they anticipate.
