Game and Fish Collar Elk for Brucellosis Study

In February, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department Collared 53 elk in three days in an effort to study the disease Brucellosis. Sheridan Region Game and Fish Public Information Specialist Bud Stewart said that this is the second year they have done this.

Stewart said that the elk are not harmed during the process. The hope is that knowing where the elk are moving will give the game and fish a location of where they are getting Brucellosis.

Stewart said that they plan on doing the collar study again next year.
