UPDATE- Gas line capped, Highland reopened

Early Monday afternoon, a gas line was cut near Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

Sheridan Police Lieutenant Tom Ringley said the incident caused portions of Highland Avenue near the hospital to be closed for the afternoon and early evening. He said that Northern Wyoming Mental Health and the jobsite at the Hospital’s Medical Arts Complex expansion project had to be evacuated due to the gas line being cut.

Ringley said that crews with Montana-Dakota Utilities capped the gas line shortly after 7 pm and Highland was fully opened back up to traffic just before 9 pm.
