Grant For Airport Taxilane Approved By Jo Co Commission

Johnson County's Commissioners, at their Tuesday meeting, approved Commission Chair Delbert Eitel to sign and accept a grant from the Wyoming Department of Transportation for a taxi lane at the Johnson County Airport.

This State Grant, No. 2976, for State Project BYG-10A, is for the State and Local portions of the entire project, and covers 10% of the entire cost for the project.

Federal funds through the Federal Aviation Administration will cover the other 90% of the project and those grants were accepted by the county two meetings previous to this, according to discussions at the meeting.

The State portion of the grant is $34,913 or 6%, and the local county portion is $23,275 or 4%. The remaining $681,880 or 90%, was covered in the FAA Grant.
