A group of warriors from the Halo for Freedom Warriors Foundation met for dinner at King's Museum Friday night as part of a weekend of fun arranged by the foundation and its Sheridan chapter.

Kent Sherwood, who's president of the Sheridan chapter, said the group has had an epic weekend so far.

He said the group was going to do the same thing Saturday, and will attend the Reagan Day dinner Saturday night.

One of the warriors, John Tiegen, will be a keynote speaker at the Reagan Day dinner. Tiegen was among the troops in Benghazi, and said he'll talk about that experience.

Also in Sheridan with the warriors is Dana Bowman, founder of the national Halo organization. He talked about the people who made the trip to Sheridan.

Bowman, who's parachuted the American flag into the Sheridan-WYO Rodeo, said he'll parachute into the Elite Rodeo Athletes rodeo tonight and into the Don King Days rodeo this weekend. The warriors will be in Sheridan until 1 p.m. Monday.
