An elk hunt, custom made-to-order chaps and a set of new tires were just a few of the items auctioned off Saturday night during the National Finals Rodeo Fantasy Party held as a fundraiser for the Sheridan High School Rodeo team.

Held at Sheridan's Holiday Inn, the event started at 6 p.m with hors d'ouevres and a silent auction, followed by the live auction and a dance to music by Justin Beasley and After the Rodeo.

Lori Zowada, who's a self-described “rodeo mom,” said this was the club's sixth annual NFR party.

Among the highlights was a live auction of 15 teams of NFR cowboys and cowgirls in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, randomly drawn for a calcutta. These individuals will be tracked throughout all 10 National Finals Rodeo go-rounds from Dec. 1-10, and results will be posted daily on the Sheridan High School Rodeo Facebook page.

According to information from the rodeo team, the calcutta will pay out 50 percent of all prodeeds to the buyers of the top three winning teams.
