The Importance of Giving Blood

The recent week long blood drive in Sheridan hosted by United Blood Services collected 270 units of blood, which according to officials with UBS, will go a long way in regard to filling the shelves of hospitals in northern Wyoming and south central Montana.

UBS Donor Recruitment Specialist Sydney Galletti explains how the blood collected in Sheridan last week is distributed.

Galletti said that giving blood as little as three times a year can be the difference between life and death for those in need of blood.

United Blood Services community blood centers across the country provide blood, blood components and special services for patients in more than 500 hospitals throughout 18 different states.
