Industry Partnership Grant Available Through Workforce Development Council

The Wyoming Workforce Development Council has announced the release of an Industry Partnership Solutions grant opportunity with the intent of supporting industry partnership collaborations that bring together employers and employees around the common purpose of improving the competitiveness of a sector by addressing development, recruitment and retention challenges. The Council is awarding up to $70,000 for successful applications. The Requests for Proposal that contains submission guidelines has been posted on the Council's website.

Department of Workforce Services Director Joan Evans says the grant seeks to foster partnerships between companies within the same industry and focus on increasing the industry's ability to compete on a
global economic scale.

Proposals must be delivered to the State Procurement Office in Cheyenne, in a sealed envelope or package by 2:00 p.m. on December 6, 2010. The successful applicants will be announced in early January, 2011.
