UPDATE: According to Lois Bell with the Sheridan Senior Center, Thursday night's Keystone Awards raised $56,700 that will help support services at the center.

Sheridan honored three people this week for the work they've done in and for their community. Sheridan Media reporter Pat Blair has the story.

Three long-time Sheridan residents were honored Thursday night for a lifetime of service. Esther McKenzie, Jack Pelissier and Judy Taylor received this year's Keystone awards in ceremonies at Sheridan's WYO Theater. I had a chance to interview them before the event started, and I began with Esther. I asked her how she was feeling.

Judy said she was surprised to be included among this year's honorees.

Finally, I talked to Jack.

I also had a chance to talk with Carmen Rideout, director of the Sheridan Senior Center, the organization that coordinates the awards.

Also honored during the evening, as Keys to the Stone, were three high school students and one Sheridan College student who were recognized for their contributions to the community.
