Landon's to Host Three Workshops

Landon's Greenhouse will host three workshops this coming weekend. All are open free to the public.

At 1 p.m. Saturday, Certified ISA Arborist John Keith and Kelly Norris from the U.S. Forestry Service will provide a session on pruning, teaching where, when and why to prune your trees and shrubs. They will provide demonstrations. Those attending are advised to dress for the weather, because the workshop will be outdoors.

At 3 p.m. Saturday, a workshop will be provided on “Fabulous Fairy Gardening.” Attendees may bring their own containers or buy one at Landon's. Landon't will provide complimentary gravel and rocks, and they offer mini décor and houseplants for a miniature indoor garden. The third workshop will start at 1 p.m. Sunday and is on spring clean-up. Attendees will learn what they should do and why, how to emphasize their homes' curb appeal and how to get their plant beds ready for spring.

A prize drawing will be held after the workshops for those who call and pre-register before 5 p.m. Friday. To pre-register, call 672-8340 or stop by the greenhouse on College Meadows Drive.
