Legislative Forum: DSA Director Tells Legislators Funds Needed for New Phone App for Tourists

Director Beth Holsinger of the Downtown Sheridan Association told legislators the organization was celebrating 30 years in existence, during this week’s legislative forum in Sheridan.

She talked about Main Street and Business Council funding, working on a travel tours phone app and said they’re concentrating efforts this year on promotions.

Senator Dave Kinskey, who was the former mayor of Sheridan, said, quote, “we are going to have to look more and more to our own resources.”

Following her presentation, Kinskey wanted to know more about the travel app for mobile phones, and in doing so, acknowledged the high school history class brought in by teacher Tyson Emborg.”

She said that would be nice, but pointed out that the Wyoming Business Council and Main Street Program have less funds available through next year, so there will be more competition for future funding.
