At the December 7 meeting of the Sheridan City Council, Sheridan Public Arts Committee Chairman Kim Love requested that the two Lion Dog sculptures that sit at the entrance of Kendrick Park, be moved indoors for preservation purposes. Love, speaking before the council Monday night, said the process needs to be taken one step at a time.

The council agreed to move the lion dogs indoors to a temporary undisclosed location. Love said that within the next several months, he’d return with a recommendation for a permanent home for the brass sculptures. Prior to agreeing to move the sculptures indoors, Councilman Alex Lee added the provision to have a replacement plan in place for the Lion Dogs at Kendrick Park within the next year.
