Lion Ryan Express Bicycle Ride Set for Saturday

The Sheridan Sundowners Lions Club will be hosting the 6th annual Lion Ryan Express Bicycle ride on Saturday.

According to information provided by the Sheridan Sundowners Lions Club, new to this year’s event will be a 5K run/walk and a 1.5 mile walk. All events will begin at Whitney Commons behind The Hub on Smith in Sheridan. The bike ride, which is approximately 20 miles, will go from Sheridan to Big Horn and back. Cyclists can can also choose a longer route if they wish, which will take them through Big Horn on Highway 335 to the Red Grade parking area at the end of the pavement, and then back to Sheridan.

None of the events are timed and participants can go at their own pace. Registration is $25 per registrant, or $50 for a family. Registration will be waived if you collect $100 or more in sponsorships from friends and family. Registration will take place at Whitney Commons between 7 and 8 am Saturday morning prior to the start of the event. Profits from the event will go to the Allen H. Stewart Lions Camp on Casper Mountain to help the Lions with the annual Allen H. Stewart Summer School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, which is held each year in July.
