Day one of the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Committee Legislator Forum was held Monday at Sheridan City Hall. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the story.

A full day of presentations from local businesses and organizations kept our local legislators busy, minus Representative Mike Madden, who was not present at Monday's forum. The day began with Sheridan Mayor John Heath addressing the local delegation.

City Public Works Director Nic Bateson gave a snapshot of past and current projects that have benefited in one way or another from state funding. An upcoming project that Bateson addressed was the North Main Interchange project, a joint venture between the city and the Wyoming Department of Transportation.

Bateson told legislators that they'd like to bid the project in 2016 and begin construction either later that year, or early 2017.
