A Look Back in Time: April 29, 1916

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on April 29, 1916.

The fourth annual ball given by the B. of L.E. was held at the Central hall in Sheridan last night and was in every way a splendid success. The hall was artistically decorated in the order's colors of red, white and blue, and Road Foreman John Doyle, and his daughter, led the grand march, which started at 9 o'clock.

Mrs. G.N. Schickley returned to Sheridan today from a short visit in Ranchester.

The D&D Auto company during the past week sold a Model 75 Overland to John Willey and a Model 85 to B.F. Shreve.

Snow began falling about 10 o'clock tonight. At midnight, Sheridan was in the grip of a real snowstorm which, under winter conditions, could easily qualify as a blizzard.
