A Look Back in Time: April 30, 1918

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on April 30, 1918.


Police arrested two men around 9 o'clock this morning on charges that the men robbed a grocery store and stole a considerable quantity of goods. The stolen goods were found in the men's room at a hotel, along with a bloody revolver.

The grade school field meet, which was to have been held last Friday but was postponed because of inclement weather, will be held this Friday afternoon starting at 2:30 in the ball park.

Mrs. T.C. Whitmire, whose husband is serving in the army, left yesterday to accept a position in Senator Kendrick's office at Washington D.C.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred King of Banner are in Sheridan indefinitely.
