A Look Back in Time: Dec. 26, 1916

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Post newspaper on Dec. 26, 1916.


The Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph company, which has offices in Sheridan, is among the big corporations that helped their employees through the high cost of the holidays by declaring a salary bonus. A score or more “hello girls” and other telephone employees in Sheridan received substantial checks from the company.

The Brown Drug company in Sheridan has Eastman Kodaks and Spalding sport goods. Telephone is 91.

The musical section of the woman's club will give a program Friday at the Decker-Cummings Music Store.

Governor Kendrick departed last week for Cheyenne after a brief stay in Sheridan.
