A Look Back in Time: Jan. 24, 1920

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Jan. 24, 1920.

Between 300 and 400 people in Sheridan have been ill during the past 10 days with influenza, but Dr. F. A. Hodson, county health officer, said the disease was in a mild form, and no pneumonia cases had been reported.

The Sheridan Sugar company reported that 17,000 bags of sugar were manufactured from the 1919 crop during the campaign that came to an end today.

Playing at the Linden Gymnasium last night, Sheridan High School auspiciously opened the basketball season here with a clearcut victory of 35 to 7 over Hardin High School.
