A Look Back in Time: June 27, 1919

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on June 27, 1919.

More than 40 Sheridan soldiers with Battery E of the 148th Field Artillery will arrive home tomorrow afternoon in a special coach attached to Chicago, Burlington & Quincy training No. 41.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the farmer with the largest family and the farmer who travels the longest distance to the picnic at the Experimental Farm on July 17. A large American flag will be given to the community which has the largest number of farmers present.

Extensive improvements on the main road east from Clearmont were accomplished this week in the observance of a good roads day.
