A Look Back in Time: June 4, 1916

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on June 4, 1916.

The Golden Rule store is offering several dozen handsome black taffeta skirts, worth $16.50 and $15, for $12.98 and $11.98. Also wash materials in the new blazer stripes for as low at 25 cents a yard.

Twenty-five acres of sorghum will be planted at the experimental farm this year to be used as fodder for the horses. Nothing else will be planted this season.

The Denio Milling company of Sheridan will start construction at once of two grain elevators, each of 25,000 bushels capacity. One will be located at Lodge Grass and the other at Wyola.
