A Look Back in Time: May 14, 1916

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on May 14, 1916.

The Sheridan High School baseball squad has been practicing faithfully in anticipation of a game or two this season with the Hardin high school team. According to Doctor Denison, a devotee of high school athletics, a team has been developed with an exceptionally fast infield and a promising outfield.

A French inspection will be tomorrow and Tuesday at the Burlington Stock Yards. Buyers will pay $150 for heavy artillery horses, $125 for light gunners and $100 for cavalry or riding horses.

“Mothers' Day” will be observed at both services of Sheridan's First Methodist Episcopal church today.
