A Look Back in Time: Nov. 30, 1916

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Post newspaper on Nov. 30, 1916.

Today is Thanksgiving Day, both by decree of the president of the United States and the governor of Wyoming, and is a general holiday on which the people are sought to suspend business and give thanks.

Miss Leona White, teacher at the Red Butte school, and her pupils, gave a box social last Saturday evening. The event raised $28, which will be expended for a Christmas tree and celebration.

The threshing at the Miles ranch on Dutch creek was completed last Saturday.
