A Look Back in Time: Oct. 1, 1916

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Post newspaper on Oct. 1, 1916.


Those having a potato crop to harvest are engaged in getting through before the stormy weather sets in. Immense crops of fine grade potatoes are reported in this vicinity.

Gladys Smith, Clara Jester, Pete Neece and Jimmie Jester were visitors in Dayton this evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Bolton and daughter Vera, and Mrs. Smith and daughter Dorothy, all of Ranchester, autoed to Big Horn Friday.

America and Australia met in auto polo competition in Sheridan yesterday and today and, as far as games were concerned, broke even. Sheridan's first taste of auto polo was sufficiently appetizing to make a local demand for more of the sport.
