Mayoral candidate for the City of Sheridan Robert Webster says he rejects the City’s plan to hire a city administrator in 2016. Webster said there are two main reasons why he opposes the hiring at this time.

Webster feels before an administrator is hired, the charter ordinance needs to be amended.

Webster said that he’ concerned that the ordinance will shift the form of government at City Hall without the consent of the people.

Earlier this week, as we’ve previously reported, the City hired Prothman to begin the search for someone to fill the administrator position. Prothman is a consulting firm that specializes in regional and national executive recruitment services for cities, counties, and other governmental agencies.
