Mud, Bugs, and Fish

The first work week ‘Unplugged’ was held Wednesday afternoon at the Scott Bicentennial Park in Dayton. Unplugged is a time of hands-on activities that gets kids connected outside instead of plugged in at home.

Travis Cundy, with the Wyoming Game and Fish brought out their Stream Trailer for the six kids on hand.

Learning about Wyoming’s streams and watersheds wasn’t the only activity. Testing the creek’s ph values and temperature along with taking a closer look at water bugs had these young scientists busy.

Six year-old Andrew Langer shared his take on river function.

Andrew’s mom, Jill Langer, said this hands-on learning experience is so beneficial.

The next ‘Unplugged’ activity will take place on October 23rd at the Red Grade Trails.
