Marty Kobza of Thermopolis will be the new superintendent of Sheridan County School District 1. He begins July 1st.
It's official. The School District 1 Board of Trustees have selected their new Superintendent, after conducting intensive two-day interviews, tours and Q & A Sessions for three finalists. Suzie Dow makes the announcement.
Marty Kobza will finish up his superintendency in Thermopolis before starting officially with Sheridan 1 July 1st. Dow tells us why they determined he was the right choice.
The search began late last fall to find the person to replace Sue Belish, who will be retiring after this school year. Dow says overall, it was a smooth endeavor.
The other two finalists were Donald Kirkegaarde from Britton, South Dakota, and Paige Fenton-Hughes of Lander.
