New Exhibit Opens Friday at SAGE

A new exhibition, “Vertical II: Platters on the Wall,” opens Friday at SAGE Community Arts, 21 West Brundage Street in downtown Sheridan.

Curated by Elaine Olafson Henry, the exhibit will be up through Aug. 30. A public reception is scheduled on Aug. 1 from 5 to 7 p.m.

The exhibition will feature approximately 20 ceramic platters by potters from around the United States, including local potters Stephen Mullins, Rod Dugal and Ryan King. Henry said most of the potters selected for the exhibition are studio artists whose daily work is to make pots for use and sale.

This is the second “Platters on the Wall” show hosted by SAGE. The first was in October 2011 at SAGE's old location in the old train depot building on Fifth Street.

The current show is sponsored by the Red Bison Studio, Birch Restaurant and Alphagraphics. Bich will cater for the public reception.
