Nine UW Projects Awarded Use of Supercomputer

Nine new projects, headed by researchers at the University of Wyoming have been chosen to receive computational time and storage space on the NCAR-Wyoming Supercomputing Center in Cheyenne. UW Spokesman Chad Baldwin says that university faculty members and one graduate student will lead projects that will use the supercomputer this summer.

Baldwin said since the supercomputer came online in 2012, allocations have been made to 65 University of Wyoming research projects.
