North Sheridan Interchange Enhancements

Posted in

The North Sheridan Interchange project is tentatively set to begin this fall with an anticipated completion date of fall of 2019. The $58 million project is a joint project between the Wyoming Department of Transportation and the City of Sheridan. City Public Works Director Nic Bateson said the City’s primary portion of the project is the water, sewer, and a portion of the storm system leading all the way to the new interchange.

Bateson says there are certain enhancements that will be the City’s responsibility financially.

The City’s portion of the $58 million project is approximately $10 million.

Bateson said the City and WYDOT learned a lot from the North Main reconstruction project from several years ago.

Bateson says the project will provide a much needed boost to the local economy.

For those seeking more information on the North Sheridan Interchange project, there’ll be a public open house Wednesday night from 5:30 to 7:00 at the Trails End Motel on north Main in Sheridan.
