October Exhibits at Library Announced

The annual Sheridan Fiber Arts Guild show and duck stamp art will be among exhibits in October at Sheridan Fulmer Library.

The fiber arts guild show will be from Oct. 1 through Oct. 30 on the mezzanine, featuring a variety of fiber arts mediums including quilting, felting, embroidery, cross stitch and knitting.

All of the items in the show are created by local fiber artists. An artist reception, open free to the public, will be on Oct. 3 from 5 to 7 p.m.

The duck stamp art will be on exhibit in the Inner Circle from Oct. 4-30. More than 100 entries from the 2019 Wyoming Junior Duck Stamp art contest will be displayed during this show.

The junior duck stamp program is an educational program that uses both conservation and design principles to tech wetland habitat and waterfowl biology to students in kindergarten through high school. Students include a “conservation message” on their art that summarizes what they've learned through the program.
