There was only one entry in both the showmanship and conformation classes at this year's cat show at the Sheridan County Fair.

Marti O'Grady, cat show superintendent, said work was underway to build the project for next year.

Kadia Miller took first place in showmanship for her knowledge of cats, and her short-haired female Kitkat received first for conformation.

O'Grady said the cats shown have traditionally been family pets, with not a lot of purebreds in the show. She said the show provides a good way for youth to learn some skills, learn about the animals and their care and to have a lot of fun.
