Art Classes, Show, Fundraiser Start New Year Right

Starting out the New Year right for many people means expanding one’s knowledge or just having fun taking a class to learn a new skill.

If that’s the case, Director Kate Harrington of the Sagebrush Community Art Center in Sheridan, says how about taking a painting class.

Getting a glimpse of what you might learn can be done by stopping by the center on East Fifth Street at the end of the month to see class instructor Sonja Caywood’s one-woman show. Her subject is cows.

And when you stop by, Edre Maier says how about dropping off a donated piece of art for the center’s upcoming fundraiser.

The class schedule can be found on the center’s website. Caywood’s show runs from January 27 through March 6 and the fundraiser comes up on Feb. 6. Tickets are $45, or $320 for a table and can be picked up at the center. The link to the website is posted below.
